Spanish Square Plaza Moves Into Vertical Construction Phase

Spanish Square Plaza has reached an important construction milestone as the project transitions from site preparation to vertical works.

Over the past several months, significant progress has been made behind the scenes, including extensive land preparation and infrastructure works. These efforts followed the successful achievement of full planning and regulatory approvals in Q4 2026, positioning the development to move confidently into the next phase of construction.

With the site now fully prepared, our main contractor, Jiangsu Jiagdu Construction Limited, has mobilised and established its site office, signalling readiness to commence vertical construction. This phase represents visible progress on what will become one of Spanish Town’s most important commercial hubs.

Concurrently, our architect, Synergy Design Studios, and project managers at IBEC have been working diligently to finalise technical details and coordination items to ensure a smooth, efficient start to construction.

Spanish Square Plaza remains on track for tenant handover in Q2 2027 and will play a key role in supporting economic growth, employment and modern retail services within the New Spanish Square Town subdivision.
